Men’s Ministry
The Men’s Ministry meet in fellowship with a varied programme that is intended for men of all ages and all for the glory of God. We hold several informal events throughout the year with two aims: Fellowship and Evangelism. Fellowship events are designed for the wider church family to get to know each other, and to grow in our faith and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ; whilst evangelism events are open to the general public and are intended as an outreach for the gospel of Christ. Most of our events are held at our Brownstown Hall (opposite EuroSpar), where all are welcome.
Our programme in recent years has included:
Men’s breakfasts, special testimony events, film nights, trips to engage with other local organisations, bowling and golf driving range, deep sea fishing, informal ‘carry-out’, themed events (e.g. health and fitness conference and a vehicle exhibition), and trips to attractions around the province. Men in the church not normally involved in speaking are encouraged to share testimony or an epilogue. Guest speakers are also invited throughout the year.
If you would like to know more about the Men’s Ministry, or have any events you would like to be considered, please speak to one of the committee: Deane Gray, Matthew Lavery, Paul Stevenson, Bill Wharry, and Paul Wright – or contact us.
